KATE G. TO THOSE I LOVE AND THOSE WHO LOVE ME, When I am gone, release me, let me go. You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears, be happy that we had so many years. I gave you my love, you can only guess how much you gave to me in happiness. I thank you for the love you each have shown, But now it's time I traveled on alone. So grieve a while, for if grieve you must, then let your grief be comforted by trust. It's only for a while that we must part.. So bless the memories within your heart. I won't be far away, for life goes on. So if you need me, call and I will come. Though you can't see or touch me, I'll be near. And if you listen with your heart, you'll hear all of my love around you soft and clear. And then, when you must come this way alone, I'll greet you with a smile and say, "Welcome Home". At 94, Kate received the sacrament of Extreme Unction and peacefully entered into the eternal kingdom of Heaven on October 15, 2011 at her home which she shared with her daughter. There, she will dwell in blissful joy with our Lord and heavenly family throughout eternity. Kate enjoyed a life filled with dance, travel and adventure. She was the last surviving sibling of thirteen children born to Mariano and Cruzita Saavedra Garcia who preceded her in death. Kate was also preceded in death by her husband, Claude V. Padilla and her step-son. She is survived by her three children; a step-daughter; and numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren. Friends may visit French, Friday, October 21, 2011, 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a Rosary following at 7:00 pm at French - Westside location. Communion services will be celebrated Saturday, October 22, 2011,11:00 am, at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary, 5415 Fortuna Rd. NW with burial to follow at San Jose de Armijo. She loved flowers, was full of life and did things her way to the end. She will be greatly missed.
