MARIANNE PFLUEGER Age 80, of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully in her home after a short illness on Monday, October 10, 2011 with her daughters at her side. Marianne is survived by her brother, John Pflueger and wife, Donna of AZ; her four children, Steven Cohee and wife, Ann of AZ, Cynthia Jennings and Kathleen Galbraith of Albuquerque, and Jay Newman and wife, Robin of Ontario, Canada, and the many friends who loved her. As a descendant of one of the earliest families to settle the Lamy, NM territory, Marianne was the Granddaughter of John T. Pflueger of Pflueger's General Mercantile, and daughter of Ara and Hansel Pflueger of Pflueger's Shoe Store on the Santa Fe plaza. Her family and friends remember her as a funny, kind, generous mother and friend who will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, please contribute generously to the Presbyterian Hospice Group, who lovingly assisted her family with her care. We want to thank all of our dear friends who have been so supportive during this time of unexpected change. Your kindness will always be remembered.
