ROBERT NEWTON Age 76, a resident of Albuquerque, died Sunday, October 2, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Patricia Ashby; son, John C. Ashby and wife Alisa; brother, John A. Ashby and wife Diana; nephew, John P. Ashby and wife, Nichole; and grandnephew, Christopher Ashby. Dr. Ashby was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Jonnie Fay Ashby; and brother, Todd Clark. Dr. Ashby was a fellow of the American College of Radiology, and he practiced at St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI where he was Chief of Staff from 1984-1988. He also practiced at the University of New Mexico Hospital. Cremation has taken place and no services are being held.
