Obituary for KITTREDGE

PEARL EMELIA Age 95, formerly of Taos, New Mexico, went to be with the Lord on September 23, 2011 in Albuquerque surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her sons, Larry Kittredge of Albuquerque and Anthony Kittredge of Las Vegas NV; daughters, Victoria Kittredge of Albuquerque and Marjorie and her husband Gary Briles of Sierra Vista, AZ; 22 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Joe Kittredge; sons, William Kittredge and Joseph Frederick Kittredge. She worked as a riveter on the airplane wings at Douglas Aircraft as a young woman in Long Beach, California during WWII, raised her children in Taos and later worked at Singer Corporation in Albuquerque. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Holy Rosary Church in Albuquerque. Mostly she was a kind and generous person, she always had a place at her table for anyone who was hungry and a place to lay your head if you were tired. Her children and family will deeply miss her. Memorial services will be on Saturday, 11:00 a.m., Oct. 1, 2011 in Taos, NM at the Rivera Mortuary, burial and reception to follow. Please call 505-453-9921 for more information.
