KATE Age 76. Early Monday morning 9-5-2011, God took one of his angels home. God showed us all his patience by allowing many family members to gather in Surprise, AZ to say goodbye, before bringing her home to his arms. Kate's footprint on our lives will remain with us as an example of her faith, patience, forgiveness and love for each of us to try and emulate. May you rest in peace Gramma Cooke. Your passing fulfills Gods will. Our mourning exemplifies the blessing God provided us each with your presence. Kate is survived by her children Sherwood C. Vickers (Steve) of Rio Rancho, Madonna Bayham (Bob) of Surprise, AZ, Robert Cooke of Surprise, AZ, Brenda Sayles of Rio Rancho, Kim Long (Larry) of Albuquerque, and Elmer Cooke III ( Monica) of Albuquerque. Kate was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Elmer Cooke Sr. and their daughter Cindy L. Jorden. Kate has 13 grandchildren, Joseph, Evan, Katie, Thomas, Kristin, Andrea, Bobby, Brandon, Desire, Earnest, Georgette, Nicodemus, and Casiano; seven great-grandchildren Leila, Brannon, Gabriel, Elliot, Josiah, Cloey, and Elaine; three brothers Eddie Archuleta, Rubel Archuleta and Salomon Archuleta; two sisters Maria Ermerlinda Sabin and Nina Archuleta; many nieces, nephews and friends. Our Mother will be greatly missed and loved forever and ever, till we see you again mom. A Rosary will be recited Wednesday 9-14-2011 at 10:00 AM with a Mass to follow at 10:30 AM, at St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Rd, Rio Rancho (892-1511). Kate will be laid to rest at San Clemente Cemetery in Los Lunas, NM at a later date.
