IGNACIO "FRED" 1945 - 2011 Passed away on August 30, 2011, he was 66 years old. He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Catherine Yolanda Otero; son, Steven; daughter, Stephanie and husband Edward; brothers Richard and wife Barbara, Lorenzo and wife Cruz, Johnny and wife Corrine, Manual; sisters Virginia and husband Elias Lopez, Beatrice Erlandson, Gertrude Otero, Mary Otero, and Sally Garcia and son Robert; godson Anthony Martinez; many nieces and nephews, and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lorenzo and Elsie Otero, and brothers Albert and Arthur Otero. Fred was a loving husband, father, and friend to all. He was a Veteran of the Air Force and proudly served in Vietnam, a former baseball and football coach, a movie buff, an avid reader of science books, and had a wonderful sense of humor. He will be forever in our hearts and greatly missed. A Rosary will be recited at 9:30 am on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at John XXIII Catholic Community, 4831 Tramway Ridge Drive NE, Albuq., NM. A Funeral Mass will be held immediately following at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at 12:45 pm at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 North Guadalupe Street, Santa Fe, NM.
