JERALD JACOB "JJ" Residing in Austin, Texas died peacefully Sunday 8/28/2011. He was 73. A Memorial Service is to be held Friday, September 30, 2011, at 4:00 p.m. at the Unity Church of the Hills in Austin. JJ was born and raised in Clayton, New Mexico. He was the youngest of 2 sons born to Helen Kurth and Dottis Donald "DD" Monroe. JJ earned a law degree at the University of New Mexico and used the proceeds from his legal work to fuel his true passions: music and flying. He taught himself to play the guitar by listening to country records when he was in high school and it became a long time passion. He is survived by his brother, Kendyl Kurth Monroe; sons, William Wesley and Marshall McLaury; their mother, Elaine Huddleston Henderson and their families.
