VIOLA (JUNE) Age 84, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully at home August 17, 2011. June, a widow, who was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd A. Smith, is survived by her three children, sons, Dennis and Richard Blubaugh, and daughter, Cheryl Davis; her eight grandchildren, Michael, Raymond and Lisa Blubaugh, Curtis and Chris Davis, Mason and Ryan Blubaugh and Launa Tholkes, as well as 15 great-grandchildren. June, a 19-year resident of Centennial, Colorado and Arapahoe County lived her life in a variety of locations. Her early years were in and around Millerton, Iowa, where she was born June 8, 1927 to Hazel and Merd Messenger. Her middle and later years were in Carlsbad and Albuquerque, New Mexico and Centennial, Colorado, respectively. Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 26th at Berardinelli Family Funeral Service, 1399 Luisa Street, Santa Fe, NM 87505, with a brief graveside service to follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions honoring Viola June Smith may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of the giver's choice.
