ROBERT WILLIAM 1917 - 2011 Was born in Lake Geneva, WI. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Jane Smith Durkee; son, William Halford Durkee of Mt. Pleasant, SC; daughters, Susan Durkee Geilenfeldt and husband Paul of Taos Ski Valley, NM, Margaret Durkee Rutherford of Lake Geneva, WI, Barbara Durkee Frost of AZ; sister, Barbara Durkee Burnett of Albuquerque; three nieces. He was preceded in death by his brother, Frank. During WWII he served as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army Air Corps. For many years he enjoyed his work as an electrical engineer at Sandia National Laboratories. In respect to his wishes, all arrangements were private. Friends may make memorial contributions to the NM Animal Humane Association or the Roadrunner Food Bank of NM.
