Obituary for COOK

LT. COL. CARL L. JR. (USAF) RET. Was born May 10, 1920 and passed away August 19, 2011. He was preceded in death by his wife Helen and is survived by his wife, Elsie; two daughters, Carleeen Kochanski and husband, Jack of Kansas City, MO and Billie Felicetti and husband, Gary of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Kristin Kochanski, Lori Kochanski, and Blair Tracy. Col Cook was a B24 pilot during World War II and a decorated veteran. He was recently awarded the French Jubilee Medal for his participation in the Invasion of Normandy. He flew the Berlin Airlift where he was later stationed from 1963-1966. With Col. Cooks passing we have lost one more of "the greatest generation." Carl Cook attended the University of New Mexico and was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He was a true gentleman, loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed. The family wishes to thank the staff at La Vida Llena for the wonderful care given to him the last fourteen months of his life. Cremation has taken place and private graveside services will be held at Santa Fe National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Col.
