EVANGELINE (VAN) Q. Age 78, beloved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, August 16, 2011, while surrounded by her loving family. She was a long time resident of Bernalillo, NM. Van is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Daniel J. Trujillo; her children, Ron Trujillo and Jane, Glenda Trujillo and husband Vidal, Diana Trujillo, Steve Trujillo and wife Dorothy; five grandchildren, Antonio Trujillo and wife Rheannon, Vanessa Montoya and husband Dominic, Angelina Vega and husband George, Juan Romero and wife Tracy, Carlos Trujillo and wife Nicole; great-grandchildren, Antonio Jr., Esteban, Tomas, Ashley, Joshua, Marciano, Adrian, Gabrielle, Robyn and Angelica. Also surviving are her brother, Ralph Quintana and sister-in-law, wife Martha; sister, Irene Angel; brother-in-law, Patricio Trujillo and wife Cecilia; aunts, uncles, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins; and a host of friends. Van will be greatly missed by all. Evangeline "Van" and her twin sister Angeline were born on June 8, 1933 in Las Vegas, NM to late Agapito and Antonia Quintana. Van loved serving at the our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Blue Army. She always found joy in giving children a treat of some sort, weather it be candy or cookies. Van enjoyed dancing, cooking and especially spending time with her family and friends. Van will forever have a special place in our hearts and will never be forgotten, we love you Van, rest in peace. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the Nursing Staff on the Fourth Floor of Lovelace Hospital; special thanks to Debbie, Matt, Eugine, Blanche, Antoniette, Andrea, Tam, Matt, Susanna, Housekeeping, Food Service and all others that prayed for her, we will forever be grateful to all of you. Visitations will be Friday, August 19, 2011 from 1:00 p.m to 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services - Alameda Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Bernalillo, NM, where the Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. A private Interment will take place at a later date. Pallbearers will be Antonio Trujillo, Carlos Trujillo, Juan Romero, Esteban Trujillo, Steve Trujillo, and Ron Trujillo.
