ERIC JOE Eric Joe Manzanares, 21, passed away on August 15, 2011. He was born in Albuquerque, NM December 8, 1989. He was a St. Pius graduate and had completed his freshman year at the University of New Mexico. His true passions were fishing, playing with his little sister, reading (particularly about religion), traveling and sports. He is survived by his parents Lawrence, Susan and Kay Manzanares; his little sister Jessica Manzanares; grandparents Joe and Josie Manzanares, Jerry and Christa Vaughan and Ted and Sheila Thygeson; his uncles Michael and Henry Manzanares, Carlos Santiago, Richard Shaw, Frank Gonzales, Tom Hunka, Craig Polson and Greg Vaughan; his aunts Patricia Santiago, Christy Shaw, Janet Polson, Tami Vaughan and Patricia Hunka; his cousins Carlos and Monica Santiago, Blake and Austin Shaw, Jason Samuelson, Christopher Manzanares, Stephanie, Elaine and Lauren Polson, Christopher and Peter Vaughan, Christa Wegner, Brandy Lee and Joannie Strong; also survived by numerous other family members and a host of friends. The family will receive friends at Our Lady of Annunciation Church, 2621 Vermont Street NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110, on Saturday, August 20, 2011 from 9:30 - 10:00 am followed by a funeral Mass from 10:00 - 11:00 am.
