PATRICIA ANN Patricia Ann Fanning, Avery, Bawcum, Wessel age 69, a resident of Chula Vista, CA and formerly of Albuquerque, NM passed away after a very long illness on Thursday, May 19, 2011. Patricia was born to James and Elizabeth Fanning on May 11, 1942 in North Bergen, NJ. She is survived by her daughter Deborah McBride and husband Dave who lovingly cared for her until she was hospitalized, and her son Jayson Bawcum of Albuquerque; three grandchildren, Sean, Amanda and Keara O'Mara. Also surviving Patricia are her father, James J. Fanning of Rio Rancho; brothers and sisters, James Fanning. Jr., of Albuquerque, John Mark Fanning and wife Emilie of Greensbore, NC, Eileen Grube of Phoenix, AZ and Elizabeth DeRochie of Albuquerque; many nieces and nephews. Patricia was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Fanning; sister, Mary Jane Fanning; two brothers, Thomas Fanning and Martin Fanning. Patricia graduated from St. Mary's High School in Albuquerque in 1960 and went on to work and retire from Allstate Insurance Co. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. She has been cremated and her interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness-NM, 6001 Marble NE, Alb. NM, 87110.
