PATRICK JOSEPH A life-long resident of Albuquerque, passed away at University of New Mexico Hospital on July 27, 2011, after a tragic accident. He was born in Albuquerque on March 16, 1954. He was the fourth of five children born to Cleo A. Dougherty and Ann M. Dougherty. He was known as Uncle Pat to family and friends. He graduated from St. Pius X High School in 1972 and attended the University of New Mexico. Patrick worked as a conductor/brakeman for the BNSF Railroad for 17 years. He lived his life with love for family and friends and much, much laughter. He was known for his heart of gold. Patrick is survived by his brothers, Dennis of East Stroudsburg, PA, Richard, of Panorama City, CA, and Charles, of Thoreau, NM; his sister, Diane Ganzerla, of Albuquerque; his many nieces and nephews, cousins, and his special friend, Faith Basaillon. A Rosary will be held at 6:00 pm on July 31, 2011, at Daniels Family Mortuary, 7601 Wyoming Blvd., NE, Albuquerque. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on August 1, 2011, at Church of the Risen Savior, 7701 Wyoming Blvd., NE, Albuquerque. He will be interred near his parents who preceded him in death at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Albuquerque.
