CARMEN S. Age 90, born in Corrales, NM in 1921 and passed away on July 10, 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clory and Evangelina Silva; sisters, Dora, Pia, and Adela. Her husband of 49 years, Juan Montoya passed away in 1992. She is survived by her son, John Montoya and Carmen Quintana; daughter, Becky Pixley and husband Bruce; brothers, Clory Silva Jr., and Felipe Silva; sisters, Sistie Baca and Mayta Welbat; four granddaughters, Ann Howard, Elizabeth Campbell, Julie Ilgen, Kimberly Spence; and seven great-grandchildren. Friends may visit French Westside location on Wednesday, July 13 from 5-7:00 p.m. A Rosary will be recited Thursday, July 14, at 10:00 a.m. with the celebration of the Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer memorial contributions be made to Hospice of the Sandias, 105 Hospital Loop NE, 87109 or St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church Building Fund, 5712 Paradise Blvd. NW, 87114.
