Obituary for FOLEY

Jeremiah T. Foley, Jr., age 82, of Albuquerque, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2011. He is survived by his three daughters, Cassandra (James) Carpenter of Albany, California, Sheila (Rick) Hughes of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Pegeen Foley of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; one son, Jeremiah T. Foley III (Rocio) of Los Angeles, California; two grandchildren, Courtney Foley and Jeremiah T. Foley IV, both of Los Angeles, California. He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Patricia, in 1996; and his brother, Edward in 2005. Jeremiah loved the outdoors, riding his motorcycles and his boats. He enjoyed traveling and experienced a dream come true when he went fishing in Australia and New Zealand. He was a mechanical engineer for over 35 years with Sandia Labs in Albuquerque. During his career at the Labs, Jeremiah progressed from the typical white shirt and tie to the very flashy 'Hawaiian shirts' that became his trademark. He had a love of learning that lasted his entire life and he passed on that love of learning to his family. Visitation will be on Monday, May 16, 2011 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., at French~Lomas Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at 12:00 p.m., at French~Lomas Chapel with interment at the Santa Fe National Cemetery to follow.
