Obituary for BALLOUGH

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Thursday April 28, 2011

Virlinda A Ballough, born on October 17, 1949 and a resident of Albuquerque passed away Monday, April 18, 2011. She survived by her brother, John Hollenbeck, children, Michael Leo Hollenbeck, Christina Lee Bentz; son-in-law, John M. Bentz, and Heather Ann Santillanes; her grandchildren, Kimberly Lyn Gordon, Matthew I. Bentz, and Matthew L. Santillanes; nephew, Jacob I Hollenbeck; and good friend, Jim Hunter. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Julius L Hollenbeck, and Elvira Hollenbeck. Lyn retired from the Sutin Thayer and Browne Law firm after twenty-two years of service. Lyn, as we all know her, was an avid reader. You could always find her with a book in hand. She loved spending time with family, picnicking in the Sandia Mountains. It was always an adventure to go out rock collecting. I think she found peace in climbing the hills, and taking in the fresh air. She found joy in her art work, creating children's pictures that she passed down to her grandchildren. A remembrance service will be held for Lyn at Temple Baptist Church, 1613 Arizona St. NE on Saturday April 30, 2011 at 3:30 pm. Please visit our online guest book for Lyn at RememberTheirStory.com.
