Michael (Mike) James Velasquez, 58, a resident of Albuquerque, NM passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2011. Mr. Velasquez is survived by his wife of 12 years, Maxine; children, James Velasquez and companion, Gwen, Angel Jordan and husband, Billy, Paul Velasquez and fiance, Ruby, and Marissa Gonzales and boyfriend, Gabe; sisters, Gloria McAfee and husband, Frank; grandchildren, Jacob, Matthew, and Nicholas; aunt, Esther Velasquez; and many brothers-in-law, sisters- in-law, nieces, nephews, cousin, and friends. Mr. Velasquez was preceded by his parents, Hernandez and Maria Velasquez; sister, Annie Velasquez, and brother, Richard Velasquez. Visitation will be from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 25, 2011, at San Jose de Los Duranes Mission, 2110 Los Luceros Rd. NW, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m., by Deacon Jose Lucero. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at San Jose de Los Duranes Catholic Mission, Father Tom Noesen, presider. Interment of cremains will follow at Mt.
