Connie Limon-Ulibarri, affectionately known as "Connie" has joined her beloved husband Sabine for eternity. She was born in Mesilla Valley, NM on December 16, 1918 to Josefa Lucero Limon and Silvario O. Limon. Connie was their last surviving daughter. She was preceded in death by her brother Mike; and sisters, Patsy and Josephine. She is survived by her son, Carlos A. Ulibarri of Albuquerque, New Mexico and will forever remain adored in the hearts of her family and friends. Connie was a graduate of Albuquerque High School (1937), and the University of New Mexico (BA 1944). Upon enrolling at UNM in 1937 she met the man of her life, Sabine Reyes Ulibarri, in a freshman English class -correcting his figurative prose. She completed her bachelor's degree in Education following his distinguished combat service in the United States Air Force, European Theatre of Operations. During the War years Connie launched her professional career as a public school teacher in Sedillo Hill, NM and extended her career through retirement as an excellent 5th grade teacher and bi-lingual educator in the Albuquerque Public Schools System. She continued living an active and fulfilling life as a member of various organizations, including Alpha Delta Kappa, the Albuquerque Association of Educational Retirees, and the Albuquerque Pan American Roundtable I. Her induction into the University of New Mexico Alumni Association Heritage Club in 1994 capped a lifetime of educational efforts and achievements. Certainly Connie's life was enriched by inspiring and motivating love and goodwill, and her future with Sabine can only "make it better."
