Lou Sauls, 94, a resident of Albuquerque since 1977, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2011. She was born in Dallas, Texas on October 1, 1916. Lou married Hunter Sauls in 1936, and he preceded her in death in 1982. She is also predeceased by her beloved daughter, Cynthia in 1970 and son, Hunter Jr. in 1999. Lou is survived by her grandson, Hunter Sauls III and granddaughter, Sara Maynes; three great-granddaughters; and many long-term dear friends and neighbors. Mrs. Sauls has been a New Mexican since 1945 and considered her self a native. Lou was a florist in Hobbs and loved gardening. She had a green thumb. She owned and operated Terrace Tower Lodge in Red River for ten years with her beloved husband, Hunter. Lou will be so missed by her dear friends and neighbors. She adored Yorkies. Lou could always make her friends smile and laugh. Friends may visit French ~ Wyoming Chapel Wednesday, April 20, 2011 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Red River Cemetery in Red River, NM.
