Obituary for LLOYD

Elizabeth Lloyd, 68, long time resident of Albuquerque lost her battle with breast cancer on Monday, April 18, 2011 and is now in God's hand's. She was born on January 29, 1943 in Burkburnett, Texas to Meryl and H. C. Clayton Hill. She is survived by her children, son, Donald Lloyd, Jr. and daughter, Charlene Lloyd; grandson, Christopher Fincher; granddaughters, Melissa Fincher, Amanda Jackson, and Chelsea Gomez; great-grandchildren, Naomi Jackson, A.J. Lewis, and Jacob Lewis; three sisters, Mildred Hargrove, Necia Wolfe, and Lela McAuley Castillo, and a multitude of nieces, nephews and extended family members. Elizabeth was preceded in death by three sisters, Daurice, Glenna, and Jessie, and two brothers, Conan and Jason. She grew up in a family of nine children spending her younger years in Long Beach, CA. After graduating from Long Beach Poly High School she married Donald Jay Lloyd and raised her family in Ventura County. She worked for Citizen State Bank for 30 years starting as a teller and working her way up to Vice President. Following her retirement from the bank she owned and operated Bid Tyme Return Antique Mall in Ventura. She had many hobbies, most notably, reading, spending time with her grandchildren, and in her later years she found a great passion for acting. Elizabeth was proud to work as an extra in films that were being filmed in Albuquerque including Beerfest, Employee of the month, and No Country for Old Men. She also appeared in many commercials. She and her sister Lela were inseparable through out their lives and moved to Albuquerque to be near their sister Mildred where Lizzy spent the remainder of her life. Per her wishes she will be cremated and her family and friends will be celebrating her life at Elena Gallegos State Park, 7100 Tramway Blvd. NE, 87122 on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. Her family will also have a celebration in Ventura, CA at a later date.
