Obituary for FARRELL

Patricia Farrell, age 66, of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, April 12, 2011. Patricia was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY to Charles and Elizabeth Rose. She attended Holy Name of Jesus School and graduated from St. Alphonsus High School in Manhattan, NY. Patricia married Jack Farrell in 1963 and they were blessed with six children, Kerrie Farrell, Joan Little and husband Aaron, John Farrell and Claudette Lucero, Wendy Farrell, Scott Farrell and wife Jackie, and Todd Farrell and wife Jen; grandchildren, Samantha, Stephanie, Sean, Melissa, Madison, Brendon, Joseph, Shelbi, Kaylee, and Lailani; great-grandchild, Jordan; nieces, Connie, Linda; and numerous other nieces and nephews on the East Coast. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles and Johnny; and sister, Dorothy. Upon her husband's retirement from NYPD they moved to Albuquerque. She then began working at the 2nd Judicial District Court in the Domestic Relations Division, and her husband took a position with Southwest Airlines. Patricia had a tremendous love for her children and grandchildren. She had a biting sense of humor that all will miss, and was always quick with a smile. Above all, she loved her family. Friends may visit the family Thursday, April 14, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM, at French-Westside Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, April 15, at 9:00 AM, at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Church, 5901 St. Josephs Dr. NW. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Patricia's name to Joy Junction, 4500 2nd Street SW, Albuquerque, NM 87125.
