Leta Marie Babb, 60, died on Monday, April 11, 2011. A beloved wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt and friend; she will be missed by everyone. She was born on June 15, 1950 to Forest "Gene" and Dorothy Ann Wintermute in Sheridan, Wyoming, both of whom Leta has now joined in heaven, along with her brother, Jimmy. She resided in Albuquerque since 1958 and is survived by her husband of 17 years, Michael Ondrik; her son, Jason Babb; her daughter, Dr. Amy Babb and husband, Marc Steinberg; and her stepson, David Ondrik and wife, Becky Holtzman. She is also survived by her siblings, David Wintermute and wife, Margi; Richard Wintermute, Barbara Wintermute, Timothy Wintermute and wife, Pamela, and Jeanne Oselio and husband Mike. Leta has a very large extended family of cousins, nephews, and nieces. She worked at BDM/TRW/Northrop-Grumman for 35 years and has many long time friends. She will also be missed by her "grand-dogs", Champ, Abbey and Penny. Leta was a sweetheart; a truly amazing person in every way, and she was so strong in her fight to live. There will be a viewing from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, April 15, 2011 at French -Wyoming Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Glory Christian Fellowship, 2417 Wyoming Blvd. NE, with a reception to immediately follow.
