CSM Robert E. Shepherd, US Army, Retired, 86, died March 30, 2011. He is survived by his son, Robert E. Shepherd Jr. and wife Sherri of Albuquerque; grandson Brian Shepherd of Salt Lake City, Utah; and great-granddaughter Alexis; brother, Tom Shepherd and wife Eunice of Spirit Lake, Iowa; and a few extended family and friends. Mr. Shepherd was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn; son, John Andrew Shepherd; and granddaughter, Nicole. Robert served our country in the United State Army on WWII and Korea before retiring after 22 years service. He then became a successful owner/broker with a realty and construction company retiring again in 1986. Mr. Shepherd enjoyed gardening, trout fishing and loved to travel with Evelyn. They were members of St Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Community. Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at French - Lomas location.
