Rene (Mice) Sanchez, age 37, passed away March 25, 2011. Born April 15, 1973, Ren was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, NM and a proud and patriotic American. As an employee at the family restaurant, he enjoyed discussing his favorite team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and his Alma Mater's Highland High School football team with customers. Beloved son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend. Rene was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jose and Maria Sanchez; and maternal grandfather, Jose Reyes. He is survived by parents, Esteban and Fransisca; brothers, Jorge and Sergio; nephews, Leon, Valentino, Jorge, Julian and Roman; nieces, Nicole and Celinda Sanchez. He is also survived his many uncles, aunts, countless cousins and many friends. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Riverside Funeral Home with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Assumption. Arrangements should be sent to Riverside Funeral Home. Interment is reserved for family.
