Obituary for COATS

Isabel Coats, age 92, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 23, 2011. Isabel was born on May 19, 1918 in Old Town Albuquerque to Martin and Ines (Perea) Lovato and was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her parents, her two siblings Epitacio (Pete) Lovato and Frances (Kika) Sedillo; two grandsons, Martin Cervantes and Jerry Moraga and a great granddaughter, Gina De Vargas. Isabel is survived by her husband of 55 years Clarence M. "Moe" Coats; four daughters, Petra Sepponen (Spence), Sylvia Carriaga (Emilio), Agnes Moraga (Gene), Catherine Mahoney (Richard); ten grandchildren, Elizabeth Cervantes, Angela Lovato (Norman), Andrew Carriaga (Angela), Diana Carriaga, Janet Calderon, Anna De Vargas(Gilbert), Karl Buck, Isabel Mahoney, John Mahoney, and Billy Mahoney; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; a niece, Rosie Sedillo (Moe), and a special friend, Peter Romero. A Rosary will be recited on Sunday March 27, 2011 at 6:00 pm, San Felipe De Neri Catholic Church in Old Town Plaza and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, March 28, 2011 at 9:00 am at San Felipe De Neri Church.
