Arlantha Lewis, age 68, was born March 17, 1942 in Glasgow, Missouri to Albert and Bessie Mae Lewis Sr. Arlantha passed away February 20, 2011 in a local hospital. She graduated from Glasgow High School in 1960. She was a long time employee at the Glasgow Factory as a seamstress making sleeping bags. After her retirement she moved to Albuquerque and became a member of the AME Methodist Church, which she loved very much. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Margaret Lewis; two brothers, Albert Lewis Jr. and James Lewis. She is survived by one sister, Bertha Mae Kellogg; one step sister, Sadie Cason and one sister-in-law, Caroline Lewis. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews and friends. Arlantha is very greatful for the love extended to her by the church and her pastor. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 2:00 pm in the Grant Chapel AME Church, 7920 Claremont NE. Dr. John Hill will officiate.
