Victor J. Lopez, 82, a resident of Albuquerque, went home to be with our Lord on Wednesday, February 23, 2011. He was surrounded by those who loved him. Victor was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Victor was born April 8, 1928 in Magdalena, NM. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lilly; grandson Derek Lopez; great-granddaughter Celeste Holjencin; three brothers; and four sisters. He is survived by his children, Rosie Baca, Irene Abeyta and husband, Alfred, Vickie Sanchez and husband, Chris, Marty Lopez and wife, Marie, Bobby Lopez and wife, Patty, and David Lopez and wife, Yvette; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. Victor retired from Sandia National Laboratories. Friends and family may visit French - Westside Chapel, Friday, February 25, 2011, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Harvest Fellowship, 5331 Montano Rd. NW, Saturday, February 26, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Pallbearers will be Marty Lopez, Bobby Lopez, David Lopez, Al Abeyta, Chris Sanchez and Steven Sanchez.
