Obituary for HULICK

William Leon Hulick, 85, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed peacefully away surrounded by loved ones on February 17, 2011. He is survived by Marta Lauser and Charlene Hodgin Minear; cousins, Don Lauser, and Linda Hunter, Albuquerque, Jerry Hulick, Fairfax, VA, Scott Hulick Fredericksburg, VA, and Maggie Croghan, Burke, VA. He was preceded in death by his father and mother Ray F. Hulick and Lalie Hulick. William was born September 28, 1925. William lived in an ArcA group home since 2004 where he was involved in many activities and loved his many friends. He liked to bowl, work puzzles, go to Apple Mountain Ranch, talk on the phone with family, eat enchiladas and sport his collection of cowboy hats! William raised sheep as a young boy in Yakima, Washington, and could still remember the names he had given each of them. He often spoke with fond affection for The Good Shepard Manor where he had lived many years. A Graveside service will be held Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 10:00 a.m., at the Fairview Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Don Lauser, Tom Hunter, Jed Holler, Mark Jones, Sandra Martinez and Rebecca Hall. A reception celebrating William's long life will follow at the ARCA Park Home at 1120 Louisiana S.E. Donations can be sent to this same address (Intercare-Park Home).
