Josefita Salas, 95, a resident of Albuquerque passed away with her loving family at her side on February 16, 2011. Mrs. Salas is survived by her loving children, Rosie Alderette and husband, Leo, Tom Salas and wife, Theresa, and Bob Salas and wife, Christina; her brothers, James Armijo and wife, Lilly, and Orlando Armijo and wife, Madeline; her grandchildren, Leon Alderette, Cathy Garland and husband, Edwin, Tommy Salas, Clifford Salas and wife, Lydia, Michelle Brown and husband, Tom, Lisa Gamboa and husband, Louie, Kim Herrera and husband, Eric; her great-grandchildren, Jason Garland, Pamela Garland, Amber McClaren, Diego Herrera, Mia Herrera, Malerie Gamboa, Ryan Gamboa, Brisa Gamboa, Thomas Salas, and Amanda Salas; her caretakers Dolly, Susan, Margaret, Juanita and Nayeli; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Salas was preceded in death by her husband Tom A. Salas in 2000. Visitaiton will be Sunday, February 20, 2011 from 2:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW, with a Rosary to be recited at 3:00 p.m., by her grandchildren. Final visitation will be Monday, February 21, 2011 from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco Rd. SW, with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. by Franciscan Friar. Interment will follow at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery.
