Elsie M Lewis, 93, passed away peacefully at home February 15, 2011. Born in Montpelier, Ohio she moved to and lived in Albuquerque since 1939. She is survived by her daughter, Sharin Francis of Greensboro, NC; son, Terry L. Lewis of Albuquerque, NM; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mergie Birmingham; and several siblings. Elsie was a loving wife and mother and will be greatly missed. She worked as a dietician in a nursing home and was an incredible homemaker. Mrs. Lewis was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. A gathering will be held at French, Lomas location on Saturday, February 19, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Christ United Methodist Church, 6200 Gibson Blvd SE, Albuquerque or the charity of your choice.
