Obituary for HERNDON

Shirley I. Herndon, age 74, a successful business woman and long time resident of Albuquerque, died Sunday, February 13, 2011 at The Woodmark assisted living facility after a long fight with Lewy Body Dementia. She was a very creative and talented person who enjoyed traveling, crocheting, making jewelry, and working in her garden. Shirley won numerous awards with her unique floral designs. Working with her hands was her passion. Shirley is survived by daughter Vicki Frank and her husband Ronald of Wyoming; and daughter Debbie Cosgrove of Illinois; She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Lisa Frank, April Frank, Justin Goldstine, and Traci Goldstine. She was predeceased by her son, William Herndon, on May 25, 1993. Memorial gifts in Shirley's memory can be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association, 912 Killian Hill Road SW, Lilburn, GA 30047. A memorial wake will be held at 6:00 p.m., on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at The Albuquerque Garden Center, 10120 Lomas Blvd. N.E.
