Frances Montoya Garcia, 84, passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2011, after a long illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred; parents, T.R. and Marcelina Montoya; and her brothers, Louie, Bennie, Mel, Juan and Tally. She is survived by her sons, Charles (wife Clara), and James (wife June); grandchildren, Jessica Bianca, Wayne and Jessica Marie (husband Adam); sisters, Guadalupe (Lupe), Josephine (Fena) and Laura; and many nieces and nephews. Frances was a successful businesswoman and owner of Valley Distributing Co. She was generous and over the years helped many local women in their business ventures. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Rosary will be recited Friday, February 18, 2011, 6:00 p.m., at French - University Chapel. A Mass and Celebration will take place at a later date.
