Ludwig Vodnik, Jr., a resident of Corrales, NM since 1972 passed away February 8, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Lida Vodnik; daughters, Denise Vodnik of Beaverton, OR, Lisa Harney and husband Jack of Albuquerque, NM; sons, Ludwig Vodnik and wife Yari of Corrales, NM, Jim Vodnik and wife, Roseanne of Las Vegas, NV, Chris Volke of Rio Rancho, NM; grandchildren, Megan Weeks and husband Daniel, Nick Famiglietta, James Vodnik, Thomas Vodnik, Nicole Vodnik; great-grandson, Dominic Vodnik; brother, Donald Vodnik of Oregon; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Ludwig worked for the Department of Defense and retired after 30 years. He was very active with the San Ysidro Catholic Church and was a longtime 4th Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed watching football and was a lifelong Green Bay Packer fan as well as a Lobo fan. A viewing and visitation will be held from 2:00pm - 4:00pm, Monday, February 14, 2011 at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara Road Chapel, 4310 Sara Road SE and Meadowlark Lane, Rio Rancho, NM. An additional viewing and visitation will be held at 6:00pm with a Rosary being recited at 7:00pm, Monday, February 14, 2011, San Ysidro Catholic Church, Corrales, NM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 noon, Tuesday, February 15, 2011, San Ysidro Catholic Church, Corrales, NM. Interment will follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park, 4310 Sara Road SE and Meadowlark Lane, Rio Rancho, NM.
