Robert. Local artist Robert Peterson, 67, moved on after a brief illness this week. After losing his hearing in early childhood, Robert spent his life mastering light, shadows, and colors in simple still life compositions of oil and pastel crayons that somehow reflected the quiet world he lived in. His work has been exhibited in over 100 galleries and museums across the United States over the past 42 years. Robert has over 4,000 friends who will miss his daily Facebook postings sometimes punctuated with a Zen Koan or two. "What is the sound of one hand clapping?" If anyone could hear the impossible, it was Robert. He left behind his life companion, Reyna Rodriguez and brothers, Jon and David.
