Isaias Garcia, age 83, a life time resident of Albuquerque, passed away Thursday, February 10, 2011. Isaias was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Tomasita Garcia; daughter, Theresa Garcia and grandchildren, Annette Molina and Simon Garcia. He is survived by three daughters, Marian and husband Ernest Molina and Helen Lucero, and Evangelina Garcia and partner Ben Castillo; four sons, Joe Garcia and partner Ramona Chacon, Sam Garcia and wife Julia, Mark Garcia and wife April, Vincent Garcia and wife Connie; two brothers, Tranquilino and wife Marcie Garcia, and Paul Garcia and wife Maryann; one sister, Lillian Araiza and her husband Tim; 21 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. He served in the US Army and was a member of the American Legion Post 13 and a member of the Plasters Local Union 254. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 12, 2011 from 3 to 4:00 pm at the Salazar and Sons Mortuary. The Rosary will be recited Sunday, February 13, 2011 at 4:00 pm in San Felipe De Neri Catholic Church, Old Town Plaza. The Mass will be celebrated Monday, February 14, 2011 at 9:00 am in the San Felipe De Neri Church. Pallbearers will be Joseph Garcia, Timo Molina, Spike Garcia, Seran Lucero, Charis Jiminez and Robert Garcia; honorary pallbearers will be Frankie Lucero, Chelsie Archibeque and Cherrice Garcia. Interment will follow in the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:30 am with full Military honors.
