Obituary for BILDERBECK

Janet Woodard Bilderbeck, 81, died on February 5, 2011 at La Vida Llena Retirement Home. She is survived by her three children, Mitchell Bilderbeck and wife, Nancy of London, England, Jeffrey Bilderbeck and wife, Joni of Alamosa, CO and daughter, Stefanie Bilderbeck of Albuquerque. She is also survived by her sister, Dr. Marjorie Evans of Los Altos, CA; her two sisters-in-law, Elaine Woodard of Villa Grove, CO, Ketha Woodard of Alamosa, CO; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mitchell Ward Bilderbeck; her two brothers, John and George Woodard; and a sister, Reverend Mary Ackerman. Janet was a longtime resident of New Mexico coming from Saguache, CO pioneer ranching family. She was a graduate of the University of Colorado and attended the University of New Mexico where she earned her teaching credentials. She taught at Lincoln Junior High School in Albuquerque and was an English teacher and Speech Coach at Jemez Valley High School for many years. She was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority, the National Forensic League and was a past president of the Albuquerque Country Club's Women's Golf Association. She was a member of the First Unitarian Church of Albuquerque. Arrangements are being made with La Vida Llena Retirement Home regarding a memorial service.
