Herman Ramon Perea, born August 31, 1929, loving husband and father passed peacefully away on February 7, 2011. He worked for Sandia National Labs from 1948-1973 being especially proud of serving for the Office Professional Employee Union. He served in the US army during the Korean Conflict from 1950 - 1952. From 1973 until his retirement he enthusiastically practiced real estate in Albuquerque area. He was a founding member of Holy Ghost Parish and worked in their many ministries including head usher and Lector. Herman was devoted, caring and loving to his family leaving behind his wife of 57 years, Emilia; daughters, Licia, Christina, Lainey, Pauli and his very special granddaughter, Yarrow; sons-in-law, Jose Garcia Davis and Hartwell Briggs; his siblings John, Molly, Eloy, Esther, Clemente and their spouses; his sisters-in-law Mary, Anna and their spouses and his many nieces and nephews that meant so much to him. As a family we will always remember him as our true anchor and the man that taught us if there is music there is dance. Never goodbye, but until we meet again. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at Holy Ghost Parish, 833 Arizona St. SE. A Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 11, 2011 also at Holy Ghost Parish, with burial to follow at 1:30 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
