Obituary for DELGADO

Jesus Joe Delgado, 88, a resident of Albuquerque since 1922 (lifelong), died Monday, February 7, 2011. He is survived by four daughters; eight sons; 31 grandchildren; 46 great- grandchildren; and six great- great- grandchildren. He is also survived by sister, Carmen Calderon. Mr. Delgado was preceded in death by his father, Pablo Delgado; mother, Abigail Delgado; and son, Jesus Delgado, Jr. He served his country in the US Army in World War II as well as he served his family. He also received two medals while in the Army, the Good Conduct Medal and the European African Middle Eastern Service Medal. A Rosary will be recited on Friday, February 11, 2011, 7:00 p.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 309 Stover Ave. SW. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2011, 10:00 a.m., also at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
