Onesima P. Salaz, 98, a resident of Santa Fe, formerly of Belen, NM passed away on February 7, 2011. Mrs. Salaz is survived by her children, Gloria Sanchez, Joe Gil Salaz, Charlotte Castillo and husband, Lawrence, Frances Griffin and husband, Jerry, and Catherine Garcia and husband, Michael; 11 grandchildren, Gary, John and wife, Gina, Christopher and wife, Melody, Elizabeth and husband, Kresten, Laura and husband, Jamie, Marie and husband, Chris, Daniel and wife, Heather, Joseph, Yvonne, Raymond and wife, Anna, and Renee and husband, John; 23 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be Thursday, February 10, 2011 from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church, 101 N. Tenth Street, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Final visitation will be Friday, February 11, 2011 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the Church with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. by Father Stephen Schultz. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gary Gabaldon, Joseph Garcia, Daniel Garcia, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Jason Fitzpatrick, and Tivo Gabaldon.
