Waylon Gammill, 75, passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2011 after a short illness. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Peggy; daughter, Denise Martone; sons, Wendell Gammill, Mark Gammill and wife, Laurie; grandson, Blake Gammill; brother, Kennoth Gammill and wife, Joan; sister, Marie Edwards; sisters-in-law, Virginia Gammill-Burgett and Maxine Gammill; and many nieces and nephews. Waylon was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Vera Gammill; sister, Joyce Fitts; brothers, L.G. and Bill Gammill; and sister-in-law, Peggy Ruth Gammill. Waylon was a civilian mechanical engineer for the USAF for 34 years, retiring in 2001. A visitation will be held Sunday, February 6, 2011 from 4:00-6:00 p.m., at French ~ Wyoming Chapel. A Celebration of Waylon's life will be held Monday, February 7, 2011 at 1:00 p.m., at Hope Evangelical Free Church, 4710 Juan Tabo NE. Final resting place will be at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Waylon's name to Hope Evangelical Free Church - Estate Gifts.
