Obituary for BAKER

Forest L., 88, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away January 12, 2011, with daughters, Jerre Lynn Baker, Jan Lurlene Morre, and son-in-law Alton N. Morre by his side. Forest was born in Shidler, Oklahoma and grew up in Wichita, Kansas. Forest married and loved Jaunita (Thomas) Baker for 67 years, so much so that he went to be with her only 23 days after her passing. Forest graduated from WSU and moved his family to Albuquerque, New Mexico. Forest retired from Sandia laboratories in Albuquerque, NM. Forest was the father of three children, Thomas Lee, Jerre Lynn, and Jan Lurlene. Preceding him in death wife Jaunita L. Baker; son Thomas Lee Baker; brothers, Roger Baker and Leonard Baker; great-grandchildren, Joseph Michael Moore and Landon Forest Griebel. Survivors are daughters Jerre Lynn Baker and Jan Lurlene Moore; brother Orin M. Baker; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Remains will be placed at the Santa Fe National Cemetery alongside his wife and son.
