David L. Eggers, 67, went to be with the Lord January 29, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Cynthia; children, Lynette Milford and husband Lance, Beverly Allison and husband Rod and David Eggers Jr. and wife Cathy; grandchildren, Dedrick, Rodney Jr., Brielle, Kendra, Kendrick, Sydney and Makenzie. David is also survived by his sister, Christine Schmidt; his brother, Daniel Eggers and wife Linda; sister-in-law, Marie Eggers; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Ruby Eggers and his brother, John Eggers. Mr. Eggers served our country in the United States Navy. He received his bachelor's degree in Business Education and master's degree in Education Administration from the University of New Mexico. He was pastor of Faith Tabernacle for 25 years and served as Principal of Hope Christian School before retiring in 2003 after 25 years. David also served as District Secretary for his church denomination and served on the board of regents for Messenger College in Joplin, MO. Memorial services will be held Friday, February 4, 2011, 2:00 p.m., at Hope Christian School Gymnasium, 8005 Louisiana Blvd. NE.
