Lee Baca, 80, a lifelong resident of New Mexico, passed away on January 28, 2011. He was born on January 24, 1931 in Fort Bayard, NM. Lee was the 3rd of five children born to Leo and Margaret Baca. He was preceded in death by his parents; older brother, Salomon; sister, Suzie; and youngest brother Johnnie; one brother survives him. Lee served in the Navy and Army during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Katherine of Albuquerque; son, Mike and wife, Kathy of Bosque Farms; son, Rick and wife Lynn of Covington, WA; son, Tom and wife Lorraine of Albuquerque; daughter, Lisa and husband Walt Scartaccini of Irvine, CA; and son, Randy and wife Mandy of Albuquerque; as well as 11 grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and loved ones. A viewing will be held Wednesday, February 2, 2011, at 9:00a.m., with services following at 10:00a.m. at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints, 11750 San Victorio Ave NE, with private interment at Santa Fe National Cemetery with honors.
