Jo Dell Hirsch, 88, passed away January 18, 2011. Born Jo Dell Ruffner on July 16, 1922 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Married in 1942 to Albert Hirsch (deceased). Both were full time residents of Albuquerque since 1946. A loving wife and kind, caring, generous and patient mother of five: David (deceased) Charlene, Stanton, Glenna (deceased) and Lori. She was a special human being who knew how to listen and not judge; a woman who enjoyed the simple wonders of the universe; a person who stopped and smelled the roses. Also an avid reader and researcher who never stopped learning. Jo Dell was a contributor to many charities, and a member of numerous organizations. She will be fondly remembered and sorely missed in the hearts and minds of the many she touched. The Hirsch family would like to thank everyone who was part of her life, and all those who helped us thru her death. The funeral service was held on Friday January 21, 2011. Contributions can be made in her name to the Animal Humane New Mexico.
