Cora L. Salas, 93, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on January 21, 2011 at home with her loving family at her side. Mrs. Salas is survived by her children, Henry Salas, Jean Salas-Reed, Olivia Angus and husband, James, Arthur Salas and wife, Linda, Ross Salas Jr. and wife, Cassie, Marlene Salas-Provance and husband, Bill, and Nanette Salas Lovato and husband, Alex; her son in law, Paul Sanchez; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mrs. Salas was preceded in death by her husband, Ross R. Salas Sr., and her daughter, Theresa (Terri) Salas-Sanchez. Mrs. Salas was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church for over 55 years and was a member of the Legion of Mary. Visitation will be on Friday, January 28, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. until 8:15 a.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 8:15 a.m. by Charlie Gallegos. Mass of Christian Burial will follow the Rosary and will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Salas, James Angus, Ross Salas III, Brian Salas, Artie Salas, and Severin Provance. At the request of Mrs. Salas, honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons, granddaughters, their spouses, and children, Nanette Lovato Nancy Fishel, Lisa Steward, Monte Angus, Scott Angus, Kavan Salas, and William Provance.
