Obituary for KLINGER-GOMEZ

Santiago Klinger-Gomez age 82, husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2011. Santiago was a parishioner at Holy Ghost Parish in Albuquerque. He worked for High Finance Restaurant for 22 years and was retired from The Panama Canal Commission.Santiago's family was his world, he worked very hard and encouraged his children to do well in school and excel. His greatest dream was to live to see that his three children graduate from College. His children fulfilled that dream and all graduated from Panama University. He wanted his children to be able to do things he couldn't. He was always there for his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Sergio Klinger and Remigia (Gomez) Klinger; one brother, Erasmo Gomez. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Maria Klinger; two daughters, Xenia M. Klinger-Gomez, Rosa D. Klinger-Iglesias, both of Albuquerque, NM ; two sons, Santiago Klinger-Gomez, of Albuquerque, NM, Clifford Klinger and wife Domitila, of Panama; grandchildren, Oscar M. Iglesias, Jr., of Daytona Beach, FL, Isaias S. Iglesias, of Albuquerque; four sisters, Margarita Klinger, Beatriz Klinger, Julieta Klinger, Evita Gomez, all of Panama; one brother, Victor Sanchez, of Panama; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins in Panama. A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at Daniels Family Funeral Services Carlisle Chapel, 3113 Carlisle Blvd. NE. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., on Friday, January 21, 2011 at Holy Ghost Parish; 833 Arizona Ave. SE, with a funeral mass to follow at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, January 22, 2011 also at Holy Ghost Parish.
