Jane "Juanita" Martinez, 75, La Jane del Binky, Charles "Charlie" Martinez, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family January 11, 2011. She went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. After a short battle with cancer. A resident of Albuquerque, NM, since 1967. Jane was born in Logan, NM to Clemente and Simona Vigil, March 30,1935. She and her family relocated to Tucumcari, NM where she attended St. Ann's Catholic School, then went on to graduate from Tucumcari High School. She was preceded in death by her father Clemente Vigil; and mother Simona Vigil; and her grand-daughter little Jovanna Martinez. She is survived by her husband of 56 years Charles Binky Martinez; daughters, Carol Kelly and husband Jackie, Christine Garcia and husband Vince; sons, Charles Patrick Martinez and wife Jodi, Richard Simon Martinez and wife Frances; grandchildren, Janie, Bart, Cirilio, Richard, Casandra, Jolyssa, Briana, Nicholas, Dominic, Joseph, Eliana, and Xavier; one Great-grandchild, Cirilio hito; three sisters, Dorothy Vigil, Mary Montano and husband Jimmy, Martha Freundlich and husband Len; Several nephews and nieces. She was a manager for the department of labor retiring after 25 years. Jane belonged to the Shrine of St. Bernadette and was a member of the Alter Rosary Society. She also lived Cursillo #105. She loved to play Bingo and loved to go to the Casino. Pallbearers will be her sons, son-in-laws, and her grand-children. Honory pallbearers will be Robert Martinez, Jimmy Montano, Len Fruendlich, and Willie Lucero. Rosary services will be January 16, 2011 at 5:00 p.m., at the Shrine of St. Bernadette, 11401 Indian School Rd. NE. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 9:00am at the shrine of St. Bernadette. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Cementary.
