Richard Lee Madrid Sr., 49, was born on July 18, 1961 and passed away on January 8, 2011. Richard was born in California and was a resident of Albuquerque for 37 years. He was preceded in death by his father, Guillermo Portillo Madrid; mother, Mary Louise Bustamante; son, Richard Lee Madrid Jr. He is survived by his two brothers, Guillermo Portillo Madrid Jr., and David Madrid; three sisters, Viola Ann Griffin, Bianca Salce and Mariana Madrid-Campos; He is also survived by his significant other, Gina Ramirez; three daughters, Genevieve, Margaret and Angela; one son, Andrew Martinez; three grandsons, Alex, Baby D and Chuyito; three granddaughters, Havanna, Gea and Baby Preciosa. He was loved by many other relatives and friends. Pallbears will be Richard Benavidez, David Madrid, Bernard Ramirez, Jesus Chavez, Guillermo Madrid and Manuel Barron; Honorary Pallbears are Andrew Martinez, Alex Gonzales, Fred Ramirez, Michael Madrid, Larry Madrid and William Madrid. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., on Thursday, January 13, 2011 Salazar & Sons Mortuary.
