Bernie Glenn (January 3, 1914 - January 10, 2011) Bernie Glenn, 97, of Clovis, NM died Monday, January 10, 2011 at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 13, 2011 at First United Methodist Church with Keath Baskett officiating. Burial will be at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis. Pallbearers include Dave Tanner, Curtis Norris, Bobby Graham, Armand Smith, Don Bonner, and Doug Hill. All her grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday at Muffley Funeral Home. The family will be at Bernie's Home, 1317 Piedmont in Clovis. Bernie Glenn was born on January 3, 1914 at the family Homestead in Levi, NM to Dale LaVerne and Innes Howell Myers. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Innes; and three sisters, Dotty Fullingin, Mabel Von Wolfe, and Alice White. Bernie graduated from Wagon Mound High School and attended New Mexico Normal (Highlands) University where she earned a teaching degree. Bernie paid her own way through school working as a Harvey Girl at the Castoneda Harvey House in Las Vegas, NM. While working at the Harvey House she met Stanley J. Glenn, who was working as a engineer for the AT&SF Railroad. They were married on Dec. 23, 1937 in Santa Rosa, NM. After moving to Clovis in 1950, Bernie became active in Red Cross Grey Ladies, Eastern Star, Rainbow, Encanto Garden Club, Altrusa, PRMC Auxilliary (Pink Ladies), and the First United Methodist Church. Bernies greatest loves were her family, her birds, and her beautiful flowers. She was dearly loved by her family, her many friends, and all who made her acquaintance. Bernie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Virginia Glenn; her daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Jack Murphy; six grandchildren, Heather Glenn, Holly (Dennis) Stockstill, Matthew Glenn, Kelli (Billy) Love, Darrin (Yvonne) Murphy, and Mark (Jen) Murphy; seven great-grandchildren, Kayla Love, Sarah Love, Connor Love, Jack Murphy, Pete Murphy, Leah Murphy, and Laine Murphy.
